Carlos Ripollés

Carlos Ripollés is a Partner at Cases & Lacambra in Spain. He operates from the Miami office, where he coordinates and advises on interests in Latin America while also facilitating legal and tax advisory services for prominent Latin American companies and family offices.

He has over 22 years of experience. He began his career in the finance and banking department of the American law firm Baker & McKenzie at its Barcelona office. Before joining Cases & Lacambra, he worked as in-house counsel in the legal department of the Barcelona Savings Bank and Pension Fund (“la Caixa”), where he led the fixed-income legal division, participating in both domestic and cross-border issuances, listed on stock exchanges in Spain and Luxembourg, before the CNMV and the CNSF. He later joined Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), where his main project was managing the bank’s position in the B. Madoff Ponzi fraud.

In 2011, he joined the Brazilian firm Demarest, leading its Spanish Desk and providing legal services to both Spanish-speaking companies and non-Portuguese-speaking businesses entering Brazil to develop their operations in the region. After four years, he relocated from Brazil to Oman, joining Al Hashmi Law, where he led its Spanish Desk.

In 2020, he launched Meeting Lawyers, a B2B digital consulting company that provides instant legal answers via chat and video calls. In 2022, he replicated the business model in the Latin American market.
