Cases&Lacambra organized a breakfast meeting under the title “The rise of arbitration: open dialogue between its protagonists”, with the collaboration of ESADE, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) as well as the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA).
The use of arbitration as a means of alternative dispute resolution to local courts is experiencing a significant increase in recent times. The speed, confidentiality, the specialty, the possibility of understanding litigation of marked international character, are some of the reasons that explain its success.
The breakfast meeting was held in Barcelona and brought together in-house lawyers, law firms, arbitrators and arbitration institutions, in order to propose an open and transparent dialogue about arbitration, with a special emphasis on the perceptions of different players depending on the different roles they play.
The purpose of this breakfast event was to encourage a joint reflection on the keys to increasing the use of arbitration as a means of resolving disputes, and their future prospects.
