Albert Hinojosa is partner in Cases Lacambra in Andorra. He specialises in advising foreign investors who choose the Principality of Andorra as their destination. He is an expert in Customs Law, and his area of expertise also extends to tax litigation, drawing on a distinguished career of more than 20 years in the public sector. He joined the public administration in 2001 as a lawyer assigned to the Customs Department, and from 2013 to 2021 he served as Head of the Department of Taxes and Borders of the Government of Andorra. In this role, he promoted the Principality’s tax transformation and convergence process in recent years, introducing the current direct and indirect tax system and fostering the international network of double taxation treaties. Until joining Cases & Lacambra, he was also Chairman of the State Agency for the Resolution of Banking Institutions. Albert holds a Law degree from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Andorran Law from the University of Andorra.
