Mario Gil Riopedre is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration practice at an international law firm in Madrid. He has more than 20 years of experience advising multinational corporations, listed companies and leading businesses across a wide range of sectors in complex disputes before Spanish courts and in arbitration. His practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, including disputes arising from share purchase agreements, EPC contracts, corporate conflicts, directors’ liability and private enforcement of competition law. He also has significant experience in administrative litigation, particularly in matters relating to public procurement, concessions, regulated sectors, sanctions, urban planning and claims for damages. Mario also has experience in domestic and international arbitration proceedings administered by leading arbitration institutions. Before joining his current firm, he worked for many years in the litigation and arbitration practice of a major international professional services firm and later practised independently as a litigation lawyer advising national and international companies. He began his career at a litigation boutique founded by a former Spanish State Attorney.
